DATA LEADER · STRATEGIST · BRIDGE BUILDER
Joe Ingala
30 years building data systems at scale. Still the most curious person in the room.
ABOUT
I speak fluent engineer
and fluent executive.
I started my career configuring servers and routers before most people had heard of the internet. Today I lead a data products team at Verizon processing billions of rows for Finance Analytics — and I'm probably the most enthusiastic person in the building about AI.
My superpower is translation. I can sit with a team of offshore engineers debugging a BigQuery pipeline at 9am, and present the business impact to a C-suite finance exec in New Jersey at 2pm — and both conversations make sense to the people in the room.
That's not a technical skill. It's a 30-year investment in understanding how data, people, and organizations actually work together. Square pegs, round holes — I've been fitting them together my whole career.
WHAT I DO
Three things I do well.
Data Products at Scale
Building large-scale datasets that drive financial planning, profitability analysis, churn modeling, and retention strategy. Currently leading Teradata → BigQuery migration at enterprise scale.
Bridge Building
Translating between offshore technical teams and senior leadership. Turning complex data architecture into business decisions that executives can understand and act on.
AI & Data Education
Created the Data Learning Center at Verizon — an internal hub upskilling junior analysts on SQL, GCP, and practical AI application. The best data culture is a taught one.
EXPERTISE
Tools of the trade.
